Welcome to Greg and Mandie's Garage!
Here you'll find a hodgepodge of our daily lives; our pets, cars and our precious identical twin girls.

Teething Twins!

The girls are both teething in full swing! Lindsey is working on her second and third tooth and Heidi is working on her third!

Needless to say we have been using some Tylenol now and then so they aren't in so much pain. Lindsey loves to comfort Heidi though. They're best buds...

Lindsey is patting Heidi on the back as she lays her head on the ottoman in their play yard.

I QUIT!!!

Recently I left my job for various reasons but I am really enjoying my time to spend with my girls!

We are constantly doing new things and going for walks in the stroller. It's good for my knee recovery.

Fun with COLORS!!!

The babies are enjoying playing with (and eating) color crayons and washable markers.  They seem to be really enjoying all the fun activities they can now do.  They're growing up too fast for me!  :(

The twins are growing up!...

The girls are getting bigger every day seemingly.  They are constantly on the move and always doing new things.  They are eating "kid food" and moving all over the house!  I love it!

The Babies' 1st birthday

The girls recently celebrated their 1st birthday.  We took them to see their great grandparents in Arizona.  They really enjoyed seeing the girls.  It's unfortunate that we live in a different state from their extended family because the girls are always changing and it would be nice if we could visit with the relatives more. They would really appreciate it.

UPDATE: This is a picture of my knee a week post op. At first, I wondered what the heck I got myself into. However, I have been able to rest a lot because my awesome mother came to take care of me. She has been watching the babies for me while I just hang out and go to PT. I have been working on my exercises a lot and it has really helped my recovery.

MPFL Reconstruction

I had my MPFL reconstruction a couple days ago. I was expecting it to be a walk in the park compared to my c-section and previous knee surgery. Well, I was wrong. It was just about as bad as my last knee surgery. I am hoping to make a quicker recovery this time though as I have two little ones to help take care of. My mom came again to help me. This is her 4th time coming to help me in the past 15 months. She has lived with me to assist me with all kinds of things for 10 months now. She will be here for a while longer though as Greg is on military orders. Again.
More pics will follow as I take you on the journey to recovery...

Knee Surgery

Well, this has nothing to do with the twins, but I am going to be having another reconstructive knee surgery in the upcoming month.  I will be having MPFL reconstruction.  I am trying to remain positive about it so I can return to work sooner rather than later.  I will post an update next time I have one.  I welcome any thoughts on this or experiences others may have had that might help me deal with the recovery, all while taking care of 10 month old twins who are on the move!
Thanks in advance for any comments!
The girls are really taking on their own personalities now.  Lindsey loves to smile at everyone that she can.  Heidi likes to smile too, but also likes to open her mouth and make a long laughing noise.  I am not really sure what she is doing but it is really cute.  I am going to try to capture it on video on my phone and will upload it when I get it.

The girls look really good in the color brown.  It goes great with their beautiful red hair.  I have found all kinds of beautiful clothes lines that have chocolate as the main color.  I really like Carter's lines and Jumping Beans.
